South African leading energy and chemical company, Sasol is currently seeking to hire general workers for their operations in Mpumalanga. The company is looking for candidates who are willing to work hard and be part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. PURPOSE OF THE JOB
A General Worker supports the Refurbishment and Manufacturing teams by providing effective service and customer assistance while adhering to procedures/codes and utilising all available support resources to increase stability and maintain the sustainability of the equipment.

FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS
- Responsible for day-to-day transport activities, including delivery and collecting of items to and from the mines,
- Responsible for the safe operation of the logistic fleet.
- Complete job-specific tasks and checklists accurately
- Visual inspection of the working environment ensuring safety standards are adhered to and reporting any unsafe conditions to the Superior
- Application of job-specific SOPs and COPs to ensure housekeeping standards are upheld
- Function efficiently and effectively as part of a team to work towards achieving Team Goals
- Report all task activities
- Hazard identification/task risk assessments
- Participates in daily morning meetings to discuss work assignments
- Support the goals and vision of the business by meeting deadlines

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12/N3/NCV Level 4 with Maths, Science, and English/ Business English
- 1 to 2 years of experience as a Driver (Advantageous)
- Driver’s License – Code 14 (Advantageous)
- Able to obtain a medical certificate of fitness
- Public driving permit (Advantageous)

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to use hand tools safely
- Knowledge of underground machinery (Shuttle Car, Roof bolter, Crushers, Feeder/Feeder breaker)
- Ability to understand electrical equipment’s (Wish)
- Basic tracking skill
